Patrols will participate in competitive activities against other patrols in the Quinsigamond District of the Mohegan Council in winter activities that will test their skills as a Klondike Gold Rush Prospector.  Patrols may be tested on skills like first aid, communication, map and compass work and more! Patrols will travel to each station pulling their Klondike gear on a sled (or backpacks if no snow) and will be given a list of items that they will collectively need to bring to the event.

The Troop will work on sleds and preparing for this event at an upcoming meeting.  A sign up sheet and a winter camping gear requirement sheet will be available at the beginning of December.

This is a winter camp out and we have reserved the Probus site, located behind the Clovis Bathrooms near the Magee Center.  This site has a small cabin with bunk beds and a wood stove. Scouts who do not have the proper winter camping gear will be required to sleep in the cabin and not outside in tents.
